The American Gem Society (AGS) appointed Nancy Sprague to the position of director of membership development. In this position, Sprague will plan, direct, and coordinate membership recruitment and retention. She replaces Yancy Weinrich.
Sprague has extensive experience in various facets of association management. Most recently, she served as the vice president of operations for John Hanks Communications. She is a former Commissioner of Consumer Affairs for the State of Nevada, where she also served as the Deputy Director of Commerce. Additionally, she was recently awarded 2001 Communicator of the Year by the Las Vegas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
“Nancy is wonderful match for this position and the AGS. She holds a diverse background in membership development, consumer affairs, management and marketing,” said Robert W. Bridel, AGS executive director and CEO. “I am confident that her unique set of skills and experience will help the AGS meet membership goals and continue to advance our mission.”
