Jewelers International Showcase will host a police seminar educating members of law enforcement to the South American theft groups as well as two additional seminars for JIS attendees during its Miami Beach Trade Show, being held Oct. 17-20 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

JIS, in cooperation with the South American Theft Group Intelligence Network, will host law enforcement officers from Florida and Georgia, including federal agents and Canadian officers. This will be a one day seminar on South American gangs and how to identify and deal with them.

The seminar will help give law enforcement individual’s additional insight into Jewelry Tradeshows and the problems traveling sales people have.

In addition JIS and SATGIN will produce a seminar for JIS exhibitors on Oct. 16 at 2:00 p.m., and for JIS registered buyers on Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. to educate attendees on the South American theft gangs and their scams.
