It’s Friday! But not just any Friday, the one after a holiday weekend. Do you ever notice that, despite a shorter work week, the four days after a holiday weekend always seem longer somehow? So yes, this Friday in particular demands that we pop the Champagne.
Speaking of bubbly, let’s talk about champagne diamonds for a minute: I love them. I’m so drawn to their color and their name—does that make me a sucker for marketing? You betcha. While champagne is a genius moniker for a certain yellowish-brown shade of diamond, it’s an appropriate one. Is it the name that makes me think the stone possesses some element of cheery effervescence? It may have some influence. But does that make the stone any less beautiful? Heck no. Champagne diamonds, cognac diamonds, plain ol’ brown diamonds (as if you could call any diamond plain!)—bring it on. Don’t even get me started (again) on how underrated brown is. Let’s just go with this: These jewels, much like the weekend, are so worth celebrating. I’m paying homage all shades of brown diamonds here (maybe favoring the champagne ones). Check ’em out.
