Signet Jewelers reported Thursday that their total sales were down 2.5 percent in the third quarter. Same store sales fell 1.9 percent during the same period.
U.S. same store sales were down 2.4 percent in the third quarter, compared to a fall of 5.5 percent in the second quarter. In the United Kingdom, same sale stores were down 0.2 percent against 4.3 percent in the second quarter.
Total sales for the fiscal year are down 6 precent and same store sales are down 3.4 percent.
