Mimi So may have been inspired by the Chinese zodiac (the rabbit was last year’s animal sign) to make this quartet of bunny rings, but they work well for the current holiday season as well.
Enter the New York City–based jewelry designer’s adorable brood of bunnies: Fern, Fernita, Patches, and Trippy.
All made in 18k yellow gold and opal—either Dendritic, Andamooka, or white—the rings didn’t remain in So’s studio/nest for long. A Neiman Marcus shopper in Florida bought Fern last week for $8,900, while Fernita—peeking out from behind a flower in an imaginary garden perch, nibbling on greens—sold to a shopper at Betteridge in Greenwich, Conn. The remaining two blue bunnies, Patches and Trippy, are still available for purchase. See Patches at Betteridge, and Trippy at Neiman Marcus in Tysons Galleria in McLean, Va. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, though So’s staff says similar ones can be made upon request.
