If you’ve been pondering some of life’s great questions this week—ones like, Is Megalodon still alive? and Who killed Snuffy the seal?—chances are you’ve been tuning into the TV phenomenon that is Discovery Channel’s annual “Shark Week” programming. Don’t be timid to admit it, you have plenty of company. Some 4.8 million viewers tuned in to watch Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives (even though it doesn’t and the show was more science fiction than fact).
