Serena Williams’ Latest Jewelry Collection Benefits Black-Owned Businesses

Share

Sales of Serena Williams Jewelry’s latest diamond jewelry collection, Unstoppable Brilliance, will benefit a national fund that helps rebuild Black-owned small businesses.

An unnamed percentage of the collection’s proceeds will benefit the Accion Opportunity Fund, which provides access to affordable credit options for small business owners.

The new series of low-key chic diamond-and-enamel necklaces riffs off the brand’s successful Brilliance diamond jewelry collection, which debuted last year and also benefited the Accion Opportunity Fund.

Unstoppable Brilliance is composed of four reversible toggle necklaces rendered in 14k gold vermeil with baguette-cut diamonds and enamel accents. Its open-circle design symbolizes “endless strength and resilience,” according to a brand statement. The word Unstoppable is inscribed on one side of the circle, while the other side glitters with 12 diamonds set in ceramic enamel in a choice of four colors: white, black, pink, and orange.

Accion Opportunity Fund CEO Luz Urrutia said in the same statement, “We are so grateful for the contribution Serena Williams has provided. It enables us to continue supporting Black entrepreneurs with loans and coaching, as we emerge from the devastating blows of COVID-19. She inspires us all with her will to win, unstoppable passion and commitment.”

Williams added, “I hope that this new collection will continue to help those Black-owned small businesses who have shown their unstoppable perseverance to succeed over the last year.”
