Second Edition of ‘Sourcebook for Designers and Artisans’ available

The second edition of jeweler’s Sourcebook for Designers and Artisans, a Yellow Pages-type directory listing more than 500 resources for designers, has rolled off the presses.

The expanded and fully updated second edition features 80 pages and 40 different categories of goods and services, ranging from ad agencies, marketing specialists, and publicists to paper suppliers, stone dealers, and photographers. All of the businesses listed were included because they are experienced at serving designers and entrepreneurs.

Cindy Edelstein, president of the Jeweler’s Resource Bureau, explained that designers “often are isolated in their studios and rely on word of mouth to find suppliers and services, especially those that are uniquely able to help a designer business. Our Sourcebook is a direct response to this need for information and references.” Also, she noted, “Designers come into the business from either the fashion world or the jewelry trade or the fine craft field, but there is very little crossover among the three, particularly in sharing of information and resources. We are the bridge that gives designers in all these categories access to all of the information, resources, and tools available to them.”

Copies of the Sourcebook are available through the Jewelers Resource Bureau for $14.95. The book may be ordered on the Internet at www.jewelersresource.com or by calling (866) 252-8097, as well as through a number of jewelry supply houses. Group discounts are available for guilds, schools, and other groups.
