The second edition of India International
Jewellery Show (IIJW) takes places this week July 31–Aug. 4 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.
Conceptualized last year by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council
(GJEPC), a 15-year-old government body comprising 5,500 industry members, IIJW took
place with 32 of India’s leading jewelry design houses displayeing their
masterpieces to a niche audience of jewelry enthusiasts. This year’s edition
features 33 firms, including Amrapali and Gitanjali Group, among
others. Bollywood icon Sonam Kapoor serves as the emcee of the festivities.
Show sponsors include Swarovski Elements,
Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers, Harper’s Bazaar, and more.
Rosily Paul Vadakkel’s
styles this year feature satin ribbon
accents mingled with starburst and paisley patterns in gold, enamel, and
precious stones.
