Schnitzer elected as Israel Diamond Exchange president

Shmuel Schnitzer won the election for president of the Israel Diamond Exchange for the third consecutive term. The Exchange also elected sixteen board members, including six new members.

The board members are: Moshe Friedman, Avi Paz, Motty Fluk, Yossi Siani, Ilan Samuel, Nissim Gil, Itzhak Cohen, Yoram Harel-Haimoff, Avraham Traub, Haim Katz, Abraham Namdar, Yosef Papo, Nissan Chen, Meir Wertheim, Yehezkel Blum, and Boaz Moldawsky.

The president and board of directors are elected to serve two-year terms. A total of 1,330 Exchange members (out of 2,218 eligible voting members) participated in the elections, which were held earlier this week.

Schnitzer also holds the position of president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses.
