Winners of the annual student design competition hosted by Southern Jewelry Travelers Association and the Savannah College of Art and Design were announced at an awards presentation held Feb. 25 during the Atlanta Jewelry Show.
Special guest judges Nak Armstrong and Anthony Camargo, the creative visionaries behind Anthony Nak Fine Jewelry, presented the awards, which were given in four categories: Gold and Platinum, Silver, Alternative Metals and Methods, and High Tech Design as well as the top award, Best in Show.
Co-sponsored by Stuller, the fourth annual competition continues the tradition of recognizing the outstanding work of SCAD design students while also providing budding jewelry designers with an inside look at the commercial jewelry industry.
Yu-Ling Tseng received the Best in Show prize.

The competition was open to current matriculating students and alumni. Entries were judged by a panel of association leaders, SJTA members, retail jewelry store owners, guest judges Nak Armstrong and Anthony Camargo, and SCAD faculty. All pieces were evaluated on the basis of overall design, marketability, wearability and craftsmanship.
