San Francisco Jeweler Dies

Randall N. Harris, owner of a well-known San Francisco jewelry manufacturing firm, died Nov. 2
of a heart attack while on vacation in the Philippines, according to a local news
source
. He was 56.
 
Harris was owned the Mel Harris Co. Inc., founded in 1920 by his grandfather.
 
The company was known for specialty work, including custom designs for Tiffany. The firm also did specialty work for professional
athletes and celebrities.
 
A memorial service was held Dec. 11 in Walnut
Creek, Calif. An
