Former Saks Fifth Avenue president Ron Frasch has joined Newton, Mass.–based private equity firm Castanea Partners and will specialize in luxury goods, including jewelry companies.
In a statement, Frasch said he plans to “identify and partner with exceptional small and midsize companies in the luxury women’s and men’s apparel, accessory, shoe, and jewelry sector.”
Frasch was president and chief merchandising officer at Saks Fifth Avenue until the sale of the company to Hudson’s Bay Co. in 2013. Prior to that, he was CEO and president at Bergdorf Goodman.
