S.A. Kitsinian Inc., parent company of jewelry brand Vanna K and a jewelry manufacturer of note for nearly a half century, announced plans last week to open a 3,200-square-foot flagship retail store, Kitsinian Jewelers, this fall.
The jewelry store will be located at The Promenade in Valencia in Valencia, Calif.
S.A. Kitsinian president Arch Kitsinian will oversee the retail operation. He tells JCK that the store feels full circle for the company; the retailer launched in the mid-1970s in Hawaii.
“This new sector of our business will give Kitsinian the opportunity to have our finger on pulse of today’s growing consumer demands,” he explains. “The timing is also perfect: The economy is doing much better, and I see a great opportunity now to expand.”
The family-owned company has several heirs, and Kitsinian says many of them have a “strong interest” in the business.
“It’s important for the new generation to understand the challenges that the retailers face,” he says. “This new location, which is near our headquarters [in Santa Clarita, Calif.], will be perfect for them to experience what it’s like behind the showcase, as well as in the factory, simultaneously.”
The company currently has three retail locations in Hawaii, which have been in operation since the 1980s.
The new store will stock house brands including Vanna K bridal and fashion, Vantani wedding bands, Lori K juvenile jewelry, and Veneto Gold by Kitsinian—the manufacturer’s well-regarded gold collection.
Staff members will include jewelry sales pros, GIA-certified gemologists, and jewelry-repair and watch-service professionals.
“We look forward to being the source of future family heirlooms, direct-from-the-factory savings, and being a vital part of the Santa Clarita community for years to come,” says Kitsinian.
A grand opening celebration for the store is already in the works for the week following Thanksgiving.
