Russian Deputy Prime Minister Chosen to Be Alrosa Chair

On July 9, Alrosa supervisory board members reelected Anton Siluanov (pictured), who also serves as first deputy prime minister and minister of finance of the Russian federation, as chairman of its supervisory board.

Siluanov has been chair of the Russian diamond miner’s supervisory board since 2015. This is the second time he’s been reelected to the post.

Aysen Nikolaev, head of the Republic of Sakha, the province where Alrosa does most of its mining, was elected first deputy chair of the supervisory board.

The miner’s chief executive officer, Sergey Ivanov, was elected the supervisory board’s deputy chair.
