Just as in fashion editorial—where larger pieces of jewelry overshadow the rings on the models’ fingers, it’s typical for jewelry designers and retailers to showcase multiple pieces in a single ad, once again relegating rings to a subordinate role.
Keeping in mind that the December magazines will provide an even more tantalizing selection of jewelry ads, here’s a sampling of current ads that put rings center stage, and deservedly so:
A current ad for Georg Jensen features puzzle-themed rings from the designer’s Fusion collection.
A pair of flower rings are featured in a current ad for Carrera y Carrera.
Salvatore Ferragamo Jewels features a ring of 18k white gold and diamonds.
The October 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar picks up the popular and chic black and white theme highlighting a couple of ring designs. Above is a ring from Cartier, in which black and white stones adorn the base of a canary diamond solitaire.
A ring designed by David Webb in black and white is also highlighted in October’s Harper’s Bazaar.
A huge runway ring along with a hooded coat is highlighted in this current ad from Elie Tahari.
An ad for Banana Republic accents a cowl-neck sweater and skirt ensemble with a single eye-catching chunky stone ring.
The rings highlighted above present a wide range of styles, a cornucopia of delights that just might put one in a holiday mood. And there are many more visual goodies to come!
