Luxury marketing professional Nancy Robey, known for her expertise in the fine jewelry industry, is expanding her services to high-end U.S. representatives of overseas fine jewelry designers to include search and referrals for sales, marketing, and new business development. After creating the Couture Jewellery Collection and Conference—the first-of-its-kind luxury jewelry business event—the acclaimed specialist is looking to put her many prominent connections to good use.
“It is a natural extension of what I do best: face-to-face events,” said Robey in a press release. After being approached by several exhibitors from Couture, LUXURY, Elite Enclave, and Prestige Promenade looking for help finding top freelance representatives for the repositioning of their new U.S. business ventures, it seemed like a natural fit for the industry veteran. “I love helping and connecting people, and have access to a lot of talent. There are some very elite individuals out there offering different talents beyond the traditional sales rep, ones who can help with sales, marketing, PR, celebrity product placement, showroom capability, distribution, and, most importantly, who can help craft business plans.”
A number of brands already have great things to say about the referral services. Licia Mattioli, CEO of Mattioli, tapped Robey to conduct a search for U.S. representation for the brand. “I was extemely impressed with the depth of research and screening she conducted in order to present us not only top candidates, but also the most qualified, atypical sales reps. Robey created the Nancy Robey Partnership in 2007 to pursue her passion for producing elite, niche marketing jewelry, business-to-business events, and to offer expertise in new market development. She has a long list of accomplishments under her belt, including the creation of the Couture Show in 1995, a term as vice president and board member of WJA for more than 15 years, and the creation of the Elite Enclave at LUXURY by JCK with Reed Exhibitions. She most recently collaborated with Luxury Brand Group to develop the Fiera di Vicenza’s U.S. buyer programs.
