Robbers pulled off a $1 million heist Monday morning at a Manteca, Calif., jewelry store, reports KCRA TV in Sacramento.
The robbery happened at the Crescent Jewelry store at the corner of Yosemite Avenue and Union Road. Investigators told the news station that the thieves broke into the store sometime overnight, lying in wait for employees to arrive.
When the employees entered the store Monday morning, the thieves held them at gunpoint, tying up the employees and stealing the jewelry. A third man was waiting outside in a getaway car, according to authorities.
The description of the two robbers is two black men, standing 5 ft. 9 in. tall, weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. One man was wearing a blue bandana with white spots, while the other man was wearing a black sweatshirt.
It is believed that the getaway car was a burgundy Neon or Dodge car. The license number is 4TPZ518.
