The Responsible Jewellery Council has appointed James Courage to succeed Matt Runci as chairman.
Courage, the chief executive officer of Platinum Guild International, has more than 30 years of experience in the jewelry industry. He will assume responsibility of chairman upon Runci’s retirement at the end of the year.
“The RJC board and I are delighted to announce that James Courage will succeed me as RJC chairman,” Runci said in a statement. “I am sure all RJC members will welcome James to the role of RJC chairman as he applies his renowned knowledge, passion, and extensive international experience to this important leadership role in the jewelry industry.”
