Richline has promoted two executives to newly created positions in finance and supply, the Berkshire Hathaway–owned jewelry group said Tuesday. The appointments are effective immediately.
Moss Makhoulian (pictured) was promoted to senior vice president of supply chain and operations. Arien Gessner was promoted to chief revenue officer.
Gessner had been president of Rio Grande, a division of Richline Group, since 2020. He joined the company in 2013 as a marketing manager and later served as vice president.
In his new role, Gessner supervises the revenue functions for Richline Jewelry, a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of fine jewelry; Leach Garner, a melt-to-market precious metal mill and findings manufacturer; John C. Nordt, maker of extruded precious metal tubing and bands; and Rio Grande, a supplier to bench jewelers and artisans.

Gessner sits on the boards of the Responsible Jewellery Council, Jewelers Vigilance Committee, Jewelers Board of Trade, and Jewelers for Children. He received his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico.
Makhoulian has been with Richline for more than 15 years, most recently as senior vice president for merchandising, R&D, and operations. His responsibilities include supervising strategic product planning, budgeting, research and development, manufacturing, procurement, and operations.
Prior to his time at Richline, Makhoulian worked at David Yurman as well as companies that supply luxury jewelry brands, including Tiffany & Co., Harry Winston, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
He earned his MBA from Oxford and is a lifetime member of the Oxford Union, as well as a member of the Economic Club of New York and the Oxford Cambridge Club London. Makhoulian also serves on the board of Jewelers for Children.
