Rhonda Faber Green’s You Complete Me Bands Celebrate Marriage Equality

Rhonda Faber Green Equality collection wedding bands

Last Friday, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide. If the concept of wedding bands specifically crafted with same-sex marriages in mind seemed scarce before, I can’t imagine that shortage will continue. I’ve already seen a number of really terrific brands offering their own versions, and this collection from Rhonda Faber Green ranks among my favorites. From the designer’s Equality collection, this pair of bands, dubbed You Complete Me, offers a sleek look elevated by a single emerald-cut diamond at the center of each. While the collection targets same-sex couples for use as a symbol of marriage, I could see these working well both as stacking bands for fashion, or as a sort of bookend look: one placed on each side of an engagement ring. I really think what collections like these represent is a statement of support from the industry’s finest. And when that statement is made in the form of some good-looking jewelry, well, that is a very good thing. With this particular pair, it doesn’t matter who is wearing them. Separate, they make for a lovely look; together, they complete each other. In short, the word to define this pair is equal.
