It was another busy news week for retail jewelers. A
California-based jeweler was lucky to avoid store damage when a fire raged
through its mall. A Louisiana-based jeweler earned a custom jewelry design
award. Exclusive European jeweler Wellendorff will open a boutique at
Shreve & Co. this month.  And, to nicely round out October’s Breast
Cancer Awareness Month, a California jeweler raised $2,500 for a breast cancer group dedicated to helping patients who are unemployed or disabled access life-saving treatment.
