U.S. retail sales increased 0.1 percent in June, the U.S.
Census Bureau reported July 14.
That is an improvement over May’s
number, which logged a 0.1 percent decrease, the first fall in more than 11 months.
Overall sales were 8.1 percent above June 2010.
The clothing and clothing accessories stores segment rose
0.7 percent from May 2011, and was 6.5 percent above June 2010.
