The company considers the new outpost a superstore
Rent the Runway—the pioneering fashion company that rents high-end apparel, jewelry, and accessories to consumers—will open its first-ever flagship store at 30 W. 15th St. in New York City’s Flatiron District tomorrow, Dec. 6.
The 5,000-square-foot store, according to a company statement, is poised for omnichannel greatness: It “optimizes several tech and design features to personalize each customer’s visit based on her unique needs, whether in-store, on the site, or in-app.”
The company has six existing retail locations but considers this flagship a “superstore.”
Consumer-facing features include a Genius Bar–esque service area called the RTR Bar and the Style Studio, which offers personal styling appointments.
