Renaissance Diamond Corp. is offering a new line of lab-grown fancy colored diamonds, produced by manufacturer Scio.
The focus of the collection will be pinks, though other colors are possible, says Neil Koppel, president and CEO of the Boca Raton, Fla.–based company. Most of the stones will be around 2 cts. and will sell for $12,000 to $15,000 retail.
“This gives people the opportunity to get what is unattainable and unaffordable,” he says.
They will be sold both as loose and as mounted, he says.
Koppel, whose company sells only created products, adds he’s secured a sales deal with one of the country’s most prominent retail chains, which will be announced next year.
Renaissance and Scio will each be shareholders in the joint venture to sell the stones, Renaissance Created Diamonds Corp.
In a statement, Gerald McGuire, president and CEO of Greenville, S.C.–based Scio Diamond Technology Corp., called Renaissance the “ideal partner.”
