International Jewellery London has announced the debut of a new premium trade event, Luxury by IJL.
Luxury by IJL will take place in London Aug. 31–Sept. 1, 2014, enabling retailers to network, browse and buy collections at an exclusive, invitation-only, two-day event. The International Jewellery London show then kicks off Sept. 1 and runs through Sept. 4.
“The U.K. is badly in need of a luxury jewelry event to meet the needs of the market and provide a luxury hub that doesn’t yet exist in the U.K.,” said IJL event director Sam Willoughby in a statement.
The plans for Luxury by IJL were unveiled at a VIP champagne reception and catwalk show at IJL 2013. This was IJL’s last year in Earls Court; in 2014, it moves to Olympia London, where it will be celebrating 58 years.
