Reed Exhibitions, Owner of JCK Las Vegas, Buys Jewelers International Showcase

Reed Exhibitions, owner of JCK Events and JCK magazine, has purchased Jewelers International Showcase (JIS), which operates the three JIS Miami shows including  the annual JIS Miami show in October.

JIS president Michael Breslow will stay on as a consultant to Reed Exhibitions. Jordan Tuchband, currently vice president of sales and operations for JIS, will join Reed as industry vice president for JIS Events.

“This is an exciting opportunity to expand our jewelry portfolio, offering our customers broader reach to retailers in the Caribbean and Latin American markets,” said Yancy Weinrich, senior vice president of JCK Events. “The JIS events offer a unique opportunity for buying and will continue to deliver enhanced customer value and a broader pool of retailers in this growing market.”

“JIS’s product range covers all price points from high-end designers to popular—most of the products on the show floor represent middle and higher price points, which are ideal for the retail audience that JIS attracts,” said Tuchband. “There is something for every type of retailer at JIS, including independent stores that place lower volume orders. JIS also allows the immediate delivery of jewelry, which eliminates a long wait for retailers to have product delivered.”

Reed Exhibitions is the largest event organizer in the world with 500 events in 43 countries. Reed serves 43 industries, and it’s domestic jewelry events now include: the three JIS Miami shows and shows in Las Vegas (LUXURY, Swiss Watch, and JCK Las Vegas); New York (LUXURY Privé New York); and Tucson (JCK Tucson).

The first JIS show under Reed’s ownership will take place October 15–18 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
