Rapaport Calls Auction “Unprecedented”

The Rapaport
monthly melee auction in New York began Monday with an
unprecedented 62,400 carats of polished diamonds in 432 assorted parcels.

The auction has been extended and will now close on
Wednesday, Oct. 20th.

The melee auction held in September sold 100 percent of its
lots, totaling 39,790 carats for $4,692,991.

Meanwhile, the Rapaport Certified Diamond Auction, which
will be held over the Internet, has been re-scheduled to Nov. 9 to 15.
