Rahaminov’s 10-Plus Carat Asscher-Cut Diamond Ring in Platinum Is for Sale

Amir Goldfiner has done it again: He’s managed to acquire yet another incredible one-of-a-kind diamond that is now ready for sale.

At the beginning of 2015, the owner of Rahaminov Diamonds in Los Angeles secured a 10-plus ct. F-color, VVS1-clarity Asscher-cut stone from an estate. He recut it, whittling away about .2 ct. to reach a new weight of 10.13 cts., to improve the “brilliancy and clarity,” Goldfiner tells JCK. He set the rock into a ring because those “are better sellers,” he adds. The piece comes with a GIA certificate, and the mounting is made of platinum.

“The stone is a beautiful real Asscher cut,” says Goldfiner. “The crown is nice and high as opposed to many Asschers that tend to be flat. It is cut the way an Asscher is supposed to be! A stone like this deserves to stand on its own.”

As for a buyer, Goldfiner notes that one of his best clients has an interested female party, whom Goldfiner knows personally and surmises could be the one.

“I would be thrilled for her to be the owner of such a spectacular and rare diamond,” he says. “I even made the ring her finger size!”
