Kris Humphries, forward for the Brooklyn Nets, has been the official spokesperson for Sector Watches since November 2011.
As spokesperson, Humphries represents the brand at numerous promotional events, including Mohegan Sun’s “Signings & Sightings,” where he met with and signed autographs for 300 fans last month.
“Overall the event was executed flawlessly, fans were ecstatic to meet Kris and Sector watches were well-received by all,” Phil Schwetz, president of Sector, said in a statement. “We appreciate Mohegan’s Sun hospitality and support.”
Humphries recently made time in his busy schedule to answer questions for JCK.
JCK: How do you describe your personal style off the basketball court?
Humphries: My style is definitely unique. I would say I’m a progressive and polished hipster. When it comes to suiting up, I would say I’m the perfect representation of London-meets-Milan.
JCK: What’s your favorite accessory?
Humphries: To me, watches are the most important accessory. Watches complete your look and allow for unique style–you can always switch it up. Sector watches are great at blending well with different looks, while maintaining an athletic nature. I appreciate the brand’s craftsmanship and how the watch details reflect my personality.
JCK: Can you comment on your overall feelings as spokesperson for Sector?
Humphries: It has certainly been exciting and I have tremendously enjoyed all of the events and the people who have helped build this fantastic brand and its incredible products. I was immediately drawn to Sector because it truly represents who I am on and off the court. I have been a watch and fashion lover and a competitor my whole life, so I definitely relate to Sector’s “No limits” campaign.
JCK: I understand that during the event at Mohegan Sun you made sure each fan in line received an autograph.
Humphries: We had a great turnout at the event, more than what we had anticipated. My fans are extremely important to me and I wanted to show how much their support means to me, which is why I made sure no one left empty handed.
JCK: How do you describe your relationship with your fans?
Humphries: I am always humbled and honored by my fans’ ongoing encouragement. They have been wonderful throughout my career and even as my fanbase continues to grow, I will always do my best to reach out to them and listen to what they have to say. It’s the least I can do when they are always there to support me.
JCK: Are there any additional promotional events for Sector planned in the future?
Humphries: We have many exciting events in the works and I’m thrilled to take on these new projects alongside Sector. It works out great since I’m staying in New York and playing in Brooklyn. I look forward to seeing what all these new opportunities have in store for me.
