Public Funeral to be Held for Campbell Bridges



A public funeral service will be held for Campbell Bridges who was killed in Kenya last week.

The service for the 71-year-old Scottish geologist who discovered tsavorite will begin at noon at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi Friday, August 21st. Following the service, the International Colored Stone Association will host a wake.

Flowers can be ordered through Festival of Flowers who will ensure they are delivered to the church in Kenya.

The World Jewellery Confederation president Gaetano Cavalieri sent his condolences to the Bridges’ family both personally and on behalf members of the organization. Cavalieri said in a statement he was saddened and disturbed by the murder of Bridges and that CIBJO urges the Kenyan authorities to bring Bridges’ attackers to justice as soon as possible.
