Preregistration up 20 Percent for JCK Tucson

Anticipation is building for the second annual JCK Tucson jewelry show, held at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa. The first jewelry show of the year, beginning on Feb. 2, it promises more than 120 vendors, mixing established stars with fresh new talent. Visitors are looking forward to the event—pre-registered attendees are up 20 percent over 2014.

“We are looking forward to kicking off another great year of shows for the jewelry world beginning with JCK Tucson and are thrilled that the community is already engaged, as seen by the pre-registration numbers, which are tracking well ahead of last year,” said group vice president of JCK Events, Yancy Weinrich, in a press release. “They will not be disappointed—we have an excellent program in store for Tucson that includes all of JCK’s signature elements.” Weinrich details a number of features that visitors can look forward to at the upcoming show, including:

  • “Redefining Retail,” an education session presented by the Jewelry Activist, Diane Warga-Arias, on Feb. 4
  • A German Design area and new talent in the Design Center
  • Networking and cocktail events
  • Free transportation shuttles to and from adjacent shows
  • Gourmet food trucks

Taking up residence in the new German Design area of the show are talents Atelier Zobel/Peter Schmid, Maria Rzewuska Design, Susanna Duenne, and Hilde Leiss. The Design Center, where attendees can find the latest trends in jewelry from dedicated and fashion-forward artisans, will host names such as Jordan Scott Designs, Eva Stone, Sholdt, Ed Levin, Tony Maccabi Designs, Marcin Zaremski, Alishan, Dorian & Rose, and Michael Jensen Designs.

In the same spirit of fostering up-and-coming talent, JCK will also host the AGS Young Titleholders/GenNext event on Feb. 3 at 8:30 p.m. In addition, the show’s location, JW Marriott Tucson Star Pass Resort & Spa, will once again be the home of Shop HQ’s live broadcast during Tucson Gem Week.
