Police suspect the unusual thefts at Cincinnati area jewelry stores this week were committed by two men who likely were working together, according to a local news report.
According to the report, the alleged crimes involved the sale of gold jewelry that was then switched for similar – but fake – items, resulting in the men walking away with thousands of dollars and the real jewelry.
Geraci Fine Jewelry and Mr. Bill’s Fine Jewelry were the retail jewelers affected by the scheme.
