PJA to Host ‘Casino Night’ and Free Education

The Pennsylvania Jewelers Association will hold its annual convention with a casino night. The event will be held Sept. 8 at the Radisson Penn Harris in Camp Hill, Pa., from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m. The following day PJA will host a free day of education at the same venue.

Tickets for “Casino Night with the PJA” is $45 per person, which includes $2,000 in “spending money,” an open bar )beer, wine, soda), and food stations. Gambling games include roulette, craps, blackjack, money wheels, Texas hold’em, and slot machines. Cocktails begin at 7 p.m. and gambling starts at 8 p.m. All proceeds to benefit PJA’s Scholarship Fund.

The day of education will run from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Speakers include Shane Decker, James Zimmerman, and Amber Lovette. Breakfast and lunch is included with the program.

There will be a “Discovery Room” with several vendors, including M.B. Mumma, Bulova, Paul F. Rothstein, Inc., Jewel Trends, and Superfit, Inc. Representatives from PJA, the Women’s Jewelry Association, American Gem Society, and Gemological Institute of America will also be on hand to answer any questions regarding their organizations.
