Pinterest’s First-Ever TV Show Now Streaming

Share

Deliciously Entertaining is the name of Pinterest’s new series that made its debut on the Tastemade streaming channel on Feb. 23.

With its first venture into TV programming, Pinterest promises an “actionable and shoppable experience” for viewers. The 10-episode cooking and lifestyle show is hosted by cookbook author and internet personality Danni Rose and features guests including former boy-bander Lance Bass and Pinterest influencer Joy Cho.

The series takes cues from food trends on Pinterest, inviting food and design lovers to join in the fun of cooking and creating, all while using the social media platform to source and plan menus and make decor that bring themed gatherings to life.

This show may seem far from the jewelry industry, but it’s worth keeping an eye on as Pinterest continues to expand its reach across multiple channels. If the platform succeeds in finding an audience for the series, that could pave the way for similar programs with other themes—fashion seems an ideal fit, and in turn perhaps jewelry?

“Pinterest is all about finding inspiration to then take action and expand your horizons. That’s exactly what Deliciously Entertaining will encourage viewers to do,” Nadine Zylstra, Pinterest’s global head of programming and originals, said in Pinterest’s announcement about the show. “The concept is entirely inspired by Pinterest trends and the calendar moments that matter most to Pinners. We hope it will inspire people to try something new.”

During each 22-minute episode of Deliciously Entertaining, viewers can scan an onscreen QR code, linking them to a corresponding Pinterest board filled with shoppable pins to re-create what’s seen on the episode. For its series finale on June 21, Deliciously Entertaining will feature a special “shop the show” companion episode on Amazon Live.
