Italian jewelry designers Piero and Paola Ferro will auction a vast inventory of antique Chinese amber, jade, gold, and other talismans on Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. at Material Culture in Philadelphia.
Prospective buyers can view items in pre-auction exhibitions that take place October 29–30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The Ferros are known for incorporating ancient objects into current 18k gold pieces. All auction items have been collected over a period of 30 years. A second related auction will feature Asian and other antique art objects, rugs, and textiles.
