Picture This: Spaghetti & Jewelry Display at JADED in New York City

Leave it to the Italians to create a carbohydrate-packed window display of envy: pasta pompadours piled high on mannequin heads while necklines sizzle with decadent Italian-made jewels. This is the view that greeted guests upon entry to the “Treasures Of Umbria: Jewelry By Italian Artisans” event held on Nov. 8 in conjunction with the Umbria Trade Agency and Confartigianato at JADED on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. Between the breathtaking colored stone jewelry on display from 10 Umbrian artists to celebrate “I love Umbria” month, the tasty Tuscan morsels and vino, and the spaghetti mop-top displays—finished off by fetching fork hair accessories—it’s hard to determine which aspect of the night was most memorable for patrons.
