The Baselworld Watch and Jewellery Fair may be the driving force behind this week’s trip to Europe, but the lure of Vienna—home to jeweler Frey Wille, the Belvedere museum (filled with the works of Gustav Klimt, including The Kiss), and the festive First District, filled with cafes and some of the best beer in the world—drove myself and a friend seven hours east of Zurich, where we landed. During a weekend excursion, we took in the sights and tastes of one of Europe’s most historic towns, and couldn’t help but notice a few jewelry stores along the way.
