It’s the Tuesday before we start shooting our model and still-life photography for the October (holiday theme) issue, so that means today is merchandise-delivery day! At press time, just one parcel had arrived, though I know that when Mr. or Mrs. Fed Ex appears, he or she will deposit a veritable skyscraper of white, blue, and orange boxes on the floor of my cube. Among their contents: a few items from Silvia Furmanovich, a designer with whom I’m not yet familiar (and whom our stylist requested), an unbelievably chic ring-to-wrist piece loaded with fancy shapes of colorless diamonds from Norman Covan (a number I spied at LUXURY 2014), and a few hair pieces from Larkspur & Hawk’s new bridal line. I also just learned that Goldstein Diamonds is sending us an incredible, Art Deco–inspired, one-of-a-kind ruby and diamond bracelet. Stay tuned tomorrow for more from the set of our cover shoot.
