Phillips Jewelers Cofounder Dies

Caroline Colaprete, cofounder of Phillips Jewelers in St. Marys, Pa., died in April at age 95 after a long illness.

Colaprete founded the store with husband Phillip in 1948. She came out of retirement at age 85 and worked until age 90.

She is survived by son Art Colaprete, the company’s current president; a daughter; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Elk Haven Nursing Home, 785 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, Penn. 15857, according to an online obituary.
