Pharrell Selling Jewelry, Watch Collection Over New Website

Musician Pharrell Williams (pictured) announced that he is selling his collection of jewelry, watches, and sneakers over a new auction website, Joopiter.com.

“@joopiterofficial is about letting go of the past,” he wrote on Instagram. “Of EVERYTHING.

“Recognizing that I felt a compulsion and responsibility to hold on to what has passed and am setting myself free For the beginning of a new era.”

Williams told the Financial Times in an interview with “two diamond necklaces glittering around his neck” that he simply has too much stuff.

“My business manager was like, ‘Hey, at this point, you have 11 different storage units,’” he told the newspaper. “Spiritually it’s a very rich experience, an enlightening experience, to let … stories go.”

He decided to create a “high-touch white glove” operation specifically for his collection.

“I’m not going to sell, you know, 20-plus-carat diamond rings on [The] RealReal,” he added.

The first auction, titled “Son of a Pharaoh” (after Williams’ father), will kick off Oct. 13 and 14, and will feature 52 items, including a yellow gold–covered Blackberry; a Jacob & Co. white gold, diamond, and ruby chain with NERD character pendant; and a pair of Swarovski crystal–covered Adidas.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Pharrell’s Black Ambition, a nonprofit that helps mentor Black and Latinx entrepreneurs, reports say.
