The Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California will honor Peter Yantzer, Mark Schneider, and Steve Weiss at its annual gala on Oct. 10 at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, Calif.
Peter Yantzer, executive director of AGS Laboratories, will be presented with the Lifetime Service Award. He is the first recipient of the award, which honors an individual who has made significant contributions to the industry throughout his career.
“Peter has been a tremendous contributor to our industry, helping pioneer many achievements in diamond grading and exemplifying a high standard of professionalism, business ethics, and a commitment to excellence,” said Niveet Nagpal, the club’s president.
Mark Schneider of Mark Schneider Design and Steve Weiss of Kirk Jewelers will both receive the Excellence in Service Award, which is given to individuals who exemplify the values of the 24 Karat Club, including social responsibility, integrity, and honor.
“Mark and Steve are very deserving of this honor,” said Nagpal. “Through their leadership and contributions to the fine jewelry industry, they have both served our industry well. We are thrilled to give them this recognition.”
