Going green never looked so good
Welcome to August. It’s a bittersweet month, really. One where, with the season at its peak enjoyment level, you just know that fall is closing in, ready to turn summer’s best moments into distant memories. But it’s an amazing time of year, too. Many take vacations during the month of August (including yours truly), and, oh yeah, it has a spectacularly hued birthstone: peridot. Rich and vibrant and green, peridot is a stone that, come to think of it, I’m not sure we see enough of. It is because customers prefer the rich greens of emerald and tourmaline over the mossy, green-yellow hues peridot commonly shares? Can it be that its abundance and lesser expense make it an unlikely candidate for the spotlight? Not to worry those August-borns: There are plenty of marvelous options—six of them—right here. In a range of price points and styles, there’s something that would give even the pickiest jewelry collector a birthday to remember.
