A color combo not just for Independence Day
The stars and stripes may be synonymous with the United States, but its flag’s colors of red, white, and blue are shared among a number of other countries. More precisely, there are 36 flags flying that trio of colors, including France, the U.K., Puerto Rico, Iceland, Cuba, and others. The trifecta is also wonderfully reminiscent of summer’s nautical trend (or shall I say mainstay—can anyone really tire of Breton stripes?). It’s no wonder you see the pairing of ruby, sapphire, and diamond so often. So, yes, I hope your store is dressed with a patriotic showcase for this Fourth of July holiday, and I hope you do send a few more pieces like these out the door. Timely? Yes. But red, white, and blue lives on long after the fireworks have popped and the barbecue has been devoured—it’s a combination for all ages, seasons, and for everyone all over the globe.
