Paragon Lake announced Tuesday the hiring of e-commerce and jewelry expert Cheryl Kremkow as the new director of content and merchandising. Kremkow will develop the content and merchandising strategy for the company’s launch of its consumer jewelry e-commerce site set for Spring 2010.

Previously, Kremkow was the editor-in-chief of Modern Jeweler. In addition to more than two decades covering the gem and jewelry industry, Kremkow has extensive online experience, previously heading her own consulting firm, Kremkow Consulting, which developed some of the industry’s leading sites. Her online experience also includes serving as director of content for Gem.net, Swarovski’s online consumer gem magazine, and vice president of content and executive producer of Mondera.com. In addition, she was editor of Jewellery News Asia in Hong Kong. She also served as the International Colored Gemstone Association’s director of communications for eight years, creating ICA’s Gembureau.
