On Sept. 26, Pandora announced that it registered the Latin letter version of the Pandora trademark in China. The company says the move strengthens its intellectual property protection in China.
The trademark has been registered in the international trademark class 14, which covers jewelry, watches, and associated products. The company now also holds the Pandora trademark written in Chinese characters and the patent rights for its charm bracelet in China.
“This is a very important step for Pandora, enhancing our market position in China as well as providing further means to globally protect our brand and our products,” said Pandora’s interim CEO, Marcello V. Bottoli, in a statement.
