Jewelry picks from a shopping expert

Maggie Mason is the original gift guide creator. She founded the blogs Mighty Girl and Mighty Goods, the latter of which compiled the best stuff to buy. The site was so good, she sold it—along with sister shopping sites Mighty Junior and Mighty Haus—in 2010.

Mason still runs her personal blog, Mighty Girl, and this year she flexed her gift guide muscles by creating Shop Blue, a gift guide featuring picks from businesses owned by minorities and women.

Mason’s picks are stylish, trendy, and perfect.

Her jewelry picks include modern hexagon earrings in obsidian from Gem + Geo, simple CZ studs from Chocolate and Steel, and a gold, diamond, and sapphire band from Fancy.

She is on the enamel pin trend, with picks from Moguless (a cheeky pho bowl), Etsy (a naked woman), and Odds and Sods (the phrase “Shine On.”).

Other trends she’s drawn to: tassels, the evil eye, and quartz crystals (pictured).

And a trend gone classic that she’s included: nameplate necklaces (her pick is from Dulces Jewelry).
