Orogem announced Tuesday that settlement discussions with De Beers recently broke down and that they will proceed immediately with service of their copyright infringement complaint filed in December.
The company filed a copyright infringement complaint in Federal Court in Los Angeles against De Beers and several of their manufacturers and retailers because of their marketing of many of the designs in DeBeers’ Everlon collection. The company’s complaint alleges that these designs are substantially similar or identical to Orogem’s Larkhead love knot pendant designs.
