Gemify, we hardly knew ya.
Gemify.com, a custom jewelry site that just announced it was opening in mid-February, is closing up shop, the site says.
On Feb. 15, the company’s PR rep sent JCK a release announcing the opening of the custom-jewelry site. A little less than two weeks after the release was distributed, the site now says the company is no longer in business.
“Our goal was to offer truly high quality custom-made jewelry at affordable prices,” the site says. “Due to the lack of economic viability in our business model and high production costs, we regret to announce that our business is closed … We will no longer be taking any new orders. Existing orders will be fulfilled as promised.”
The PR rep, who no longer works for the company, said she was forwarding JCK’s questions to its owners, who had not responded at press time.
