Online Company Sells Diamond for nearly $250,000

Union Diamond Corp., an online diamond and jewelry purveyor, said that it has sold a diamond for nearly $250,000. The Atlanta-based company described the diamond as a 6.19 ct. round brilliant cut diamond that is E in color and VS2 in clarity.

The diamond will be mounted in a hand- fabricated precious platinum three-stone mounting with pear- shape diamond accents, the company said in a statement.

“We are now dealing with a savvy population of online shoppers that understands the value of our offering,” said Scott Anderson, Union Diamond president and chief executive officer.

Anderson and Tony Rixom founded the online diamond jewelry company. They said it is the second consecutive month that the company has sold a diamond for nearly $250,000.
